What’s Parts and Garage Cover?
Parts and Garage Cover, also known as Breakdown Repair Cover, helps you with the cost of repairs when your vehicle breaks down.
It covers vehicles of any age or mileage, and includes:
- Up to £535 for repairs per claim.
- Up to 4 vehicles covered on a single policy – just let us know which vehicles.
- 5 claims each policy year, or 6 if you cover more than 1 vehicle on a joint or family policy.
- Work paid for at a garage after a breakdown, like a new starter motor.
- Cover for many of the spare parts used to fix your vehicle at the roadside, like a battery.
You’ll need to pay a £35 excess each time you make a claim.
How it works
Parts and Garage Cover kicks in after you the AA out for a sudden electrical or mechanical breakdown.
You can claim up to £535 towards the expenses if:
- The AA replace any parts covered by your policy, and
- Your vehicle needs to go into the garage for further repairs.
The AA will take you to one of their network of garages to carry out any work, or a garage of your choosing (depending on your level of cover).
